JODHPURS
The sizings on these are waist size in inches. Our own brand of Ideal and Ultimate jods are great value as we don’t have to pay a middle man so the price is great – the quality is great on them too!
Very slim children may like to Rhinegold Classic or Contrast jodhpurs as they can take advantage of the optional longer leg size whilst keeping a nice fit on the waist.
BOOTS
The importance here is safety. It is dangerous to ride in wellingtons or other boots without a smooth sole as it is possible for the foot to get wedged in the stirrup iron. Long rubber riding boots are useful especially in winter as they keep the feet dry. The Cadett’s and Chester’s are a great value boot. The Stylo’s are slightly smarter and are lined.
Jodhpur boots are very comfortable and avoid sweaty feet! We have our own brand of Hasley boots – again fabulous price and quality. The fit on the width is generous. The Malvern boots go down to a size 7 for small feet!
Some children wear them on their own whilst others prefer a half chap as well to protect the lower half of the leg.
